Oh NO Not Me and Other Replies to Will You Help Me Sand!

Oh NO Not Me and Other Replies to Will You Help Me Sand!

Getting ready to teach my intermediate resin class at the Tampa Museum of Art. Today we will work on mold making and finishing which requires a lot of hand sanding up to an 8000 grit paper. Finishing is the most difficult part of the resin process. When I prepare for large shows I always hire assistants to do the finishing. Sanding for hours is not as easy as it seems. I have never been able to get anyone to return for another cycle of non-stop sanding!

This Out of Africa 3 bracelet took 5 hours of sanding to get a glass-like finish.
