How To Add Texture To Resin Painting

Resin is a difficult medium for painting.  If you use multiple colors they will all blend together before the image cures often leaving you with a piece that bears no resemblance to your original painting or one where the colors have blended together in an unattractive way.  This prompted me to go in another direction by incorporating textures and layers into my resin paintings.  The stripes in the painting were made from dragging the corrugated cardboard from a pizza box across semi-cured resin.  I also used a crackling medium to get the veins.  This is just the beginning I have a million ideas to pursue!  Pictured is my first completed painting. I call it Arrhythmia.
